Call for Public Participation: .za SLD General Policy Review - Shaping the Future of the Internet
[Johannesburg, South Africa, 21 November 2023]: South Africa’s regulator for the .za namespace, the .ZA Domain Name Authority (.ZADNA) - whose mandate is to administer and manage the .za namespace, invites the Internet community and the South African public to provide input and proposals on the prospective review of the .za SLD General Policy.

“This process will consider adjustments to the current cost structure and how domain name registrations and renewals are handled. Participation is not just encouraged; it is crucial in sculpting a future that mirrors the diversity and dynamism of South Africa’s digital sphere”, says Molehe Wesi, CEO of ZADNA.

Through this consultative process, .ZADNA aims to bring together diverse views to actively contribute to the evolution of the South African Internet ecosystem openly and transparently. “In our pursuit of progress, .ZADNA is committed to creating an environment where every voice resonates. This call for participation is an open invitation extended to individuals, organisations, and all interested parties to have input on this progressive process”, adds Wesi.
