ZADNA as part of its mandate to to regulate and manage the .za (dotza) domain namespace as per the Electronic Communications and Transactions (ECT) Act 25 of 2002 carried our research that would advance the space.

In order for advance the namespace, it is imperative for ZADNA to keep abreast of industry trends. By doing so, .ZADNA is able to benchmark .za performance against other TLDs, proactively aligning its business goals and identify threats to mitigate the risks it faces or is likely to face.
